The speedbox works by altering the signals sent between the e-bike’s speed sensor and its controller(the display on your handelbar). Essentially, it tricks the system allowing the motor to continue providing assistance beyond the standard limit.

As the battery percentage drops, the speedbox will gradually limit the maximum power assistance. For example, when the battery reaches 50%, the speedbox will cap the maximum speed at approximately 28 km/h.
