Step by step guide to speedhack your Tenways CGO600
There are two ways to install the Smoothway speedbox: a quick and easy 1-minute setup on your handlebar or a more secure, theft-resistant installation under the crank, which takes about 15 minutes. Choose the option that works best for you!
Easy 1 minute handlebar installation
The handlebar installation is the simplest method. If you don’t leave your bike in public areas often, this is a great option. Just keep in mind, it’s easier for thieves to tamper with it.

Step 1
Preparation
Make sure your Tenways CGO600 is turned off.

Step 2
Disconnect the cables from your display
Don’t worry, it might take a little force, but just gently pull the cables out. It’s normal, so no need to be scared!

Step 3
Connect the Smoothway Speedbox
There’s only one way to connect it. The male connector of the speedbox goes into the female connector on the bike. Then, the male connector from the bike plugs into the female connector on the speedbox. It's simple, just follow the arrows on the connectors to line them up the right way!
Use some small cable ties (or tyraps, tie wraps... whatever you like to call them! 😉) to secure everything in place.

Step 4
Activating the speedbox
To activate the speedbox, turn on your bike. Once it's powered on, press and hold the down arrow button on your display to activate walk assist mode. The speedbox is now activated! Enjoy your faster rides ;).
Note: Walk mode will no longer work with a speedbox installed, and you’ll need to activate the speedbox every time you turn on your bike.
15 minute crank installation
This guide will walk you through the straightforward process of installing a Speedbox under the crankshaft of your CGO 600. This method is not only the safest way to install it, but it also keeps the Speedbox completely hidden from view.

Step 1
Preparation
Make sure your Tenways CGO600 is turned off.

Step 2
Acces the cables under the crank
Unscrew the cover underneath the crankcase. There is a phlips screw on the side and a torx screw on the front.

Step 3
Prepare the Cables
Pull the cables out of the frame to gain easy access.
Tip: put your bike upside down.

Step 4
Prepare the Cables
You'll need to disconnect a specific cable for the Speedbox. Look for the connector that is green inside and unplug that one. Make sure you leave the ribbed torque sensor cable connected.

Step 5
Connect the Speedbox
Connect the Speedbox in line with the arrows of the cable you just disconnected.

Step 6
Position the Speedbox
Push the cables as far back into the frame as possible. Place the Speedbox sideways in the available space beneath the cables.

Step 7
Reattach the Crankcase Cover
Place the cover back over the cables and crankcase. Screw the cover on the side and front.

Step 8
Activate the Speedbox
Turn the bike on. Press and hold the down arrow on your display. Continue holding it until you feel the bike "wants to move forward" and hear an electrical sound coming from the motor. Your Speedbox is now activated!
